David Monllor
David Monllor (b. 1987, Aarau, Switzerland) is known by the vivid and vibrant colours of his palette, rendering objects in ways they cannot be perceived naturally in reality. While his work may be categorised as contemporary realism, it is the realism of the latent. The artist uses light and colors to penetrate the visible in order to bring the invisible to life. The nighttime in Monllor’s oeuvre symbolises, in a metaphorical sense, the unconscious hidden in the interstices.
Monllor’s work has been shown on multiple occasions both in and outside of Europe, in solo and group shows, and at fairs around the world.
