Miriam Beichert
Miriam Beichert (b. 1999 in Mosbach, Germany) is a visual artist based in Stuttgart, Germany. In her work, Beichert contemplates contemporary lifestyles and studies her surroundings. Her paintings feature clothing, advertising, and everyday objects that appear like washed-out memories, characterized by blurry, loose sprayed lines and dissolving colors. This adds a dreamlike, sometimes nostalgic character to the paintings, that are very distinctive for Beichert’s work.
She has a BA in Fine Arts from the Macromedia University Freiburg and continued her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
She has exhibited multiple times with Ulstrup Gallery, and extensively across Europe and the world, with notable shows such as Aesthetic Echoes at Plus-One Gallery in Antwerp (2024), a solo show Connecting People at NBB Gallery in Berlin (2023), and a duo show Sides of A Coin at Split Gallery in London (2024). She also showcased her work at the ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair in 2023. In 2022, she was awarded the Förderpreis für Bildende Kunst der Stadt Freiburg.
