Kaja Meyer (b. 1994, Slagelse, Denmark) is a visual artist specializing in painting, drawing, and original printing techniques, with a strong emphasis on storytelling in her work. Her creative practice is inspired by the concept of relationships—how seemingly unconnected entities interact and influence one another. This interest spans connections between individuals, groups, humans and animals, as well as the intricate relationships within nature itself.

Meyer’s goal is to observe and describe these dynamics, capturing specific moods or feelings with precision, rather than viewing them through a lens of good or bad. Her art becomes a space to explore the nuanced ways in which we coexist, often without the need for judgement.

Kaja Meyer has a bachelor’s degree from Kolding School of Design and soon a master’s from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in graphic storytelling.

Her works have been exhibited on several occasions across Europe. Apart from that, she has won prizes and been acknowledged for her work by several entities, such as The Principal Danish State Arts Foundation (new talent of 2018 and project funding 2024).

Kaja Meyer is based in Germany.
